Springer, one of the most renowned publisher of scientific books and journals, has started a new journal, the International Journal of Digital Humanities. The editor-in-chief of the journal is Gábor Palkó, and the editorial team includes leading researchers from digital humanities centres in Vienna, Graz, Ghent and Göttingen.

The journal is currently working on two special issues. The upcoming one, “Digital Humanities and Web Archives,” will examine the challenges of using and curating digital archives. The second special issue, for which the editors accept proposals till Dec 15, 2020, will be titled “East Asian Studies and Digital Humanities.” It is intended to address the demands of non-Latin script users and will strive to inspire research on language materials not written in Western languages.
